We armed The Suburban Pop Project with a number of viral marketing tools, including these 2.5cm pins to use as handouts, and a series of mass photocopy-able posters, all on a shoestring budget. The result was a buzz that permeated the community apparently of its own will; reportedly, individuals from all corners of 'the scene' knew of The Suburban Pop Project whether or not they had been in direct contact with the band or the band's music. The band was able to leverage this mindshare to convince owners of some of the largest clubs in Ottawa that they were ready to host bigger shows to more prolific audiences.
